Sarah | The Bride-to-Be | Bridal Portraits in Beaufort, NC
Whenever I consult with a bride prior to her bridal portraits I tell her to choose a location that she absolutely loves and is personal to her. For Sarah’s session, I had to hold in my jubilation when she told me where she wanted to do the shoot. We were headed to the historic town of Beaufort, and even more exciting, to her grandmother’s 167-year-old historic home. This home faces the water and is right smack in the middle of downtown. We had so many beautiful places within a few feet from each other, and it was just a quick walk to a dock on the sound.
This is a special place to Sarah, not only because it is her grandmother’s house, but it is near the sea. Sarah’s career is in marine biology, and she has traveled all over the world studying the ocean and all its inhabitants.
She brought a few things from her travels along as props. The sunbrella was a souvenir from Asia (and there just happened to be a big patch of bamboo right in her grandmother’s front yard – it was meant to be!). She also wanted to include a patchwork quilt she made for her fiancée, Christian. He is a very, very blessed man! They are THE cutest couple ever! I cannot wait to share their wedding photos!

Sarah, I had a lovely time at our session! It has been amazing learning Christian and your love story and getting to know you. I can’t wait to show you the wedding photos!
