Well, hello! Welcome to the blog for Three Eleven Photography! Please pull up your chair, get comfy and take a few minutes to peruse my lastest work and other lovely ideas and inspirations on this blog. I am working on a new site that I am so excited to reveal very very soon. I will keep everyone updated right here.

If it's your first time here, let me tell you a little about Three Eleven and myself. My name is Lindsay Ann Corrigan. Photography is one of my passions in life and people are another. With Three Eleven, I get to combine these two things to make my job! I get to capture the most precious times in life and give them as a gift to relive over and over. Weddings, portraits... life. Everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Oh, and if you enjoy what you see and read, please leave a comment!

Cheers!

Lindsay

A little lady | McG's three year portraits sneak peek

My favorite people to photograph are my children. My daughter asked me during her three year-old portrait session yesterday, "Mommy, why are you always taking pictures of us?" I answered her with the obvious answer, "because I love you so much and you are so beautiful." Later, though, I was thinking that I better be careful not to overtake photographs of my children. They will either grow to hate it or become obsessed with their own images. Something to think about on this lovely Friday afternoon! More photos from McG's session coming shortly! Have a wonderful weekend!

Photography Exhibit in Starbucks | featured!

This is such an exciting post for me! I am beside myself! I was asked to exhibit some of my photography in the Greenville Boulevard Starbucks in Greenville, North Carolina for the next few months. I have never been featured in a solo exhibit, so I was beyond thrilled when I was chosen.

I have a rather eclectic style and I wanted to incorporate that in the exhibit. I have collected several frames from yard sales, thrift stores and antique stores and I have dreamed of creating a wall of photographs. This was the perfect opportunity! I also wanted to make sure to include some of my oval and ornate frames, which I love! I painted the frames with shades of white, gray and black. The monotone scheme for the frames gives the wide range of shapes and sizes a cohesive and modern look.

Below are a few of the frames before I painted them.

The manager at Starbucks also graciously allowed me to set out some of my business cards.

Thank you, Pamela from Starbucks, for giving me this opportunity. A BIG thank you to Nancy and Mackenzie for connecting me with Pamela and helping me set up the exhibit. And thank you to my wonderful clients who are so photogenic! You should pop over and check yourselves out!

Trampoline! | thirty photos in thirty days

This mini trampoline was a gift from Papa and Grandma and it is going to get a lot of use! I may be just as excited as McG about this present because I know how much fun it will be for her. Some of my best childhood memories took place while jumping around a trampoline with my cousins.

Classical Conversations | School Picture Day | Kinston

I spent yesterday taking portraits of this very friendly group of students and mentors from the Kinston Classical Conversations for my first ever "School Picture Day." They are such a fun group and did amazingly in front of the camera. The group shot was a bit challenging, but all I had to do was pull out the old “raise your hand and close your mouth” trick that I learned from my mom, and you could’ve heard a pin drop. They were so polite and well behaved. I was amazed!

Classical Conversations is a wonderful way for children to learn together and parents to be involved in their education. There are open houses for the Kinston Classical Conversations in March, which I will be attending. If you have any interest in Classical Conversations, please leave a comment below and make sure to submit your email address (no one will see it, but me) and I’ll send you more information.

salted caramel hot chocolate | thirty photos in thirty days

Today was a little chilly. Okay, the high was 51 degrees, but I felt like a chilly weather treat. So I made a pot of hot chocolate. Yep, a whole pot. I added a little caramel, sea salt and whipped cream… so heavenly!
