Well, hello! Welcome to the blog for Three Eleven Photography! Please pull up your chair, get comfy and take a few minutes to peruse my lastest work and other lovely ideas and inspirations on this blog. I am working on a new site that I am so excited to reveal very very soon. I will keep everyone updated right here.

If it's your first time here, let me tell you a little about Three Eleven and myself. My name is Lindsay Ann Corrigan. Photography is one of my passions in life and people are another. With Three Eleven, I get to combine these two things to make my job! I get to capture the most precious times in life and give them as a gift to relive over and over. Weddings, portraits... life. Everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Oh, and if you enjoy what you see and read, please leave a comment!

Cheers!

Lindsay

Big Announcement! ∙ Part 1

It is finally official! We are moving! To catch everyone up, I'll quickly run through why this is such a huge deal.

March 2007: We bought our house in New Bern. Everything we could have wished for was coming true. A dream job and a dream house in a picturesque historic town.

April 2007: We found out that the job was moving to Raleigh. We quickly put our house back together (we had gutted the kitchen and baths) and put our house on the market with the realtor who had sold it to us just one month prior.

For the next two years, we struggled through failure and unemployment, and losing our entire life savings, while losing four loved ones and fighting our own health issues.

Things started to turn around when Josiah was hired as a NC supreme court clerk for the summer and we found out we were pregnant. Through an intern at the court, we were introduced to an attorney in Kinston and he hired Josiah. We started attending Grace Fellowship Church and God drenched us with amazing relationships and connections in Kinston.

February 23, 2009: McG was born! Josiah left three hours later to sit for the NC bar exam the next morning. Six weeks later, we found out he passed! The two hardest years of our lives were over!

February 2011: Our house in New Bern is still for sale. Up until this point, we have been going back and forth to Kinston almost every day of the week. But now, God has provided a way for us to live in a house in Kinston. So we are leaving this house that once held so many hopes and dreams. Our outlook is so different now than it was four years ago. We no longer dream of a picturesque town and dream house but a community that we can serve and grow in.

I can’t wait to share with you the rest of this journey. I have really missed blogging and I am determined to blog much more often than I have.

I have some more exciting news, so make sure to check back. Oh, by the way, my goals for this month are first, move and second, throw McG an awesome birthday party!

What are some twists and turns that have changed your outlook on life? It happens to all of us. Thank you so much for reading about ours. I love sharing stories about God’s work on this earth.

Cheers!
