Well, hello! Welcome to the blog for Three Eleven Photography! Please pull up your chair, get comfy and take a few minutes to peruse my lastest work and other lovely ideas and inspirations on this blog. I am working on a new site that I am so excited to reveal very very soon. I will keep everyone updated right here.

If it's your first time here, let me tell you a little about Three Eleven and myself. My name is Lindsay Ann Corrigan. Photography is one of my passions in life and people are another. With Three Eleven, I get to combine these two things to make my job! I get to capture the most precious times in life and give them as a gift to relive over and over. Weddings, portraits... life. Everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Oh, and if you enjoy what you see and read, please leave a comment!

Cheers!

Lindsay

Edwards Family Portrait Session Sneak Peek!

I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon with the Edwards family in downtown Kinston and I couldn't wait to put up a sneak peek. This is one of my faves with all the ladies of the family! Aren't they gorgeous?!

There's more...coming soon!

Josh, Jojo, Amanda and Susie ∙ Downtown Shoot ∙ Family Portraits

I have to hand it to these kids. Although I didn’t check the thermometer, I’m quite positive it was below freezing the day we did this portrait session. Even without coats, they never complained about the frigid weather. We made sure their mom was nearby with the car so they could hop in and warm up.  Meanwhile, my fingers were so frozen I couldn’t get my flash batteries out of my bag without help. Despite the cold, we had a fun time exploring downtown Kinston and finding cool places. We laughed a lot, which helped keep us warm. Well, I should say they laughed at me and the ridiculous positions I put myself in to get an interesting shot.

By the way, I COULD NOT have done this session without my student/assistant, Mackenzie. Thanks for braving the cold, Mackenzie!

Gram and Diane, thank you so much for working with me and carting us around for the session! And kids, you did an awesome job putting up with the weather for a little bit to get these great photos. I hope y’all love them!

Chandler and Colleen ∙ On the Family Farm ∙ Portraits

When I was a little girl, I wanted to live on a farm. I just imagined all the adventures I'd have with a bunch of animals, barns, big haystacks, tractors and all that land to run around and explore. I’m not sure if Chandler and Colleen have lots of adventures, but they definitely have fun! They have three pet goats, lots of kittens and a cute little dachshund as pals, plus a trampoline and plenty of trees to climb.

Jeanette, their mom, wanted to get some portraits on their family farm and I jumped at the chance to visit. Little McG and my assistant Mackenzie came along with me and braved the cold for this shoot. McG ran around yelling, “ditty dat,” “doddie” and “dote” while chasing and trying to kiss all the animals. And I was in heaven with all the barns, silos and fields to use for photos. This may be one of my favorite shoots ever!

Their cousin, Spencer, joined us for a few shots. He lives right next door!

Jeanette, thanks for inviting us to your home and sharing a little piece of your life with us. You have two great kids! Chandler and Colleen, thank you for sticking it out in the cold! You made my job easy, except for the pink sock! haha! ;).

JaLisha ∙ School’s OUT ∙ Kinston Senior Portraits

I have to say, this girl’s got some skills! Not just anyone on a flag line can do her routine flawlessly with a toddler running circles around her.

JaLisha brought her honey, Aj and their little man along for the session. What fun we had! When JaLisha got out her flags, he wanted to do the routine right along with her.  I loved trying to catch the little guy smile. It’s infectious. You can see he got his daddy to smile, too!

JaLisha did the pose in the photo on the right when I told her to do something that was “her.” Love it!

Aj, thanks for coming along. I just love that we could get all three of you together for the session. I know JaLisha has been wanting to for a while. JaLisha, I am so glad this worked out! I can’t help smiling when I look at your photos. You have so much kindness and joy bursting from within you that it pours out. (Call me about next June ;)

Holz Family ∙ Family Portraits

My mom’s family gets together every year on Labor Day weekend to attend the Canfield Fair. Over the past few years, our number has increased significantly. This year, we had five great grandchildren under the age of two in attendance.

This year, we were able to carve out a bit of time to do a large family portrait for one of my mom’s sisters and her growing family. We thought about going to Mill Creek Park for the portraits, but time was not our friend. So we found a little spot in the backyard with wonderful lighting.  This backyard holds a lot of memories for our family. It is so neat to see my cousin’s children swing on the very tire swing that we all grew up playing on.

I have to say, I have a pretty good looking family, and very stylish, too. I love them dearly and had a blast hanging out with them over the weekend. I have never had so much fun with any other group of people in my entire life than when I am with my family.

Thank you, Aunt Holly, for allowing me to capture this time in your lives. I love when we all get together! By the way, the kids were so amazing!
